ABSTRACT:
Organic EL elements provided with a substrate10, a first electrode layer12and a second electrode layer18situated in a mutually opposing manner on one side of the substrate10, and a luminescent layer20situated between the electrode layers, wherein one of the first electrode layer12and the second electrode layer18is a hole injection electrode layer and the other is an electron injection electrode layer, and there is formed in the luminescent layer20a modified section16which contains an organic polymer compound different from the organic compound composing the luminescent layer14, in bias toward the electron injection electrode layer.
