ABSTRACT:
The compound of the formula ##STR1## [1R-(1.alpha.(E),2.beta.,3.alpha.)]-1-[2,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)cyclobutyl]-5 - (2-bromoethenyl)-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione, is an antiviral agent that is active against herpes simplex virus 1 and varicella-zoster virus.
