ABSTRACT:
An optical transceiver1comprises first and second pseudo-random pattern generators23and28for generating a pseudo-random pattern signal, which are placed in a transmitting side path6and in a receiving side path11of the optical transceiver1, respectively; first and second pseudo-random pattern detectors21and26for evaluating an inputted pseudo-random pattern signal, which are placed in the transmitting side path6and in the receiving side path11of the optical transceiver1, respectively; a first loopback path31that loops back from a multiplexing circuit3to a demultiplexing circuit8; and a second loopback path32that loops back from a light-electricity converter7to an electricity-light converter4.
