ABSTRACT:
Ophthalmic lens compositions comprising a cured polymer mixture of (A) an unsaturated polyester resin composition, (B) a monomer of the formula ##STR1## (C) an optional vinyl, acrylate monomer, or other monomer or mixtures thereof, and (D) a free radical generating catalyst system. Such a curable plastic material can form ophthalmic lenses of superior properties including high index of refraction which reduces the amount of material required for corrections.
