A light emitting unit A includes a base member1,a holder3for holding a laser diode7and a coupling tool5which is a leaf spring material. A pair of circular surfaces32, 32of the holder3are respectively abutted on a pair of flat surfaces14, 14of the base member1on the overlapping place of the base member1and the holder3. The center axis line of the circular surfaces32, 32coincides with a center axis line O passing the light emission point P of the laser diode7.Projected pieces55, 55of the coupling tool are elastically contacted with the laser diode at the back of the center axis line O.
