ABSTRACT:
An optical module with flexible substrate that improves high-frequency characteristics. A flexible substrate30is formed with a top wiring layer32and a bottom wiring layer34formed on both surfaces of a polyimide layer33, where the top wiring layer32has a plurality of wiring patterns32athat electrically connect the leads11of the optical module10to the drive circuit of a circuit board50, and the bottom wiring layer34is located on the entire surface of one side of the polyimide layer33so that it is electrically insulated from the wiring patterns32a, is electrically connected to the ground of the circuit board50, and is electrically connected to at least the leads11and, depending on its relationship with the wiring patterns32a, to the stem12of the optical module10at a specified position of a stub region34ahaving stub structure.
