ABSTRACT:
A system for the coupling of signals from a movable member, such as a tank upola, to a fixed member, such as a tank hull, includes a rotatable drum carrying an optic fiber slip ring (an optical wave guide which may be a rigid fiber optic bundle or a rigid plastic resin optic ring). Electronic-photo transducers, such as photodiodes or light emitting diodes, are embedded in the optic fiber slip ring and their light pulses are transmitted across a gap to an optic fiber block also containing electronic-photo transducers.
