ABSTRACT:
An optical fiber composite ferrule1is disclosed as having a leading terminal member1A made of hard material such as zirconia ceramic, and a trailing terminal member2A made of synthetic resin having a linear expansion coefficient equal to or less than that of the leading terminal member1A. By so forming, a stress to be imparted to an optical fiber due to surrounding temperature variation can be lessened.
