ABSTRACT:
A programming device of an optical disc reproducing apparatus is for programming a playing sequence of audio selections of an optical disc for recording onto a magnetic recording medium having first and second recording sides. An arithmetic unit is provided for determining which of the audio selections are to be recorded on each side of the magnetic recording medium in accordance with the recording time of the magnetic recording medium and the playing times of the audio selections, and for calculating remainder times denoting the difference between the recording time of the magnetic recording medium and the total playing times of the audio selections. A display device is provided, having first and second display regions, for display of index numbers of the audio selections to be recorded on the first side of the magnetic recording medium and the remainder time of the first side of the magnetic recording medium in the first region, and for display of index numbers of the audio selections to be recorded on the second side of the magnetic recording medium and the remainder time of the second side of the magnetic recording medium in the second region.
