ABSTRACT:
To provide an optical disc having a label printing surface capable of forming a high quality and high fastness image by an ink jet recording process and a process for the production of a labelAn ink-receiving layer5is provided on an optical disc substrate1on the label printing side thereof. A protective layer7made of a transparent, non-aqueous solvent soluble resin capable of forming at ordinary temperature a water-resistant plastic film is formed on the label image-printed surface developed by an ink jet printer.
