ABSTRACT:
An end face7aof an optical fiber7and an end face8aof an optical fiber8are arranged so as to have a predetermined interval and to oppose each other in a V-groove23of a base21. A solution27including particles used as a material of the photonic crystal is dropped into a space section25which is formed by the end face7a, the end face8a, and the V-groove23. Accordingly, by growing the photonic crystal from each of the end face7aand the end face8a, the optical control section including the photonic crystal2is formed on each of the end face7aand the end face8a.
