ABSTRACT:
An optical connector10includes a ferrule20to secure the set of multiple optical fibers100, a plug member21to hold the ferrule20, and a spacer22having a pin23for guiding, the spacer being integrally fixed to the ferrule20by means of inserting the pin23into the ferrule20to be secured together with the ferrule within the plug member21, wherein the ferrule20has at least one first positioning portion for example a recessed portion51, 52, and the spacer22has at least one second positioning portion for example a projection61, 62which is fitted to a corresponding first positioning portion to position the ferrule to the spacer.
