ABSTRACT:
In an optical connector1,a cord receiving hole portion11c,where an optical fiber cord90can be inserted and received axially of the optical fiber cord, is formed in a housing10.A mounting hole13,through which a stopper40can be inserted into the portion11cperpendicularly to an insertion direction of the cord90,is formed in the housing. A positioning slit42,having a width slightly smaller than the diameter of the cord90,is formed in each plate-like portion41.A blade portion43with an angle 90° is formed at each open end of the slit42.When the stopper40is inserted into the portion11cthrough the hole13,each portion43abuts against a covering portion92,and penetrates into the portion92while forcing a cut portion of this portion92away in the stopper insertion direction.
