ABSTRACT:
An optical connector1includes a first connector2and a second connector3. The first connector2includes a first ferrule4and a first housing5. The terminal of an optical fiber7is attached to the first ferrule4. The first housing5accommodates the first ferrule4so as to be movable along the axial line P of an optical fiber cable7. The second connector3includes a second ferrule20, a second housing21and a coil spring23. The terminal of another optical fiber cable7is attached to the second ferrule20. The second housing21accommodates the second ferrule20and the coil spring23. The coil spring23urges the second ferrule20toward the first connector2. Such a configuration provides an optical connector which permits the housings to be easily coupled with each other and suppresses the labor for assembling the connector.
