ABSTRACT:
An optical connection sleeve1for optically connecting an optical fiber41and an optical device51is constituted by a resin sleeve15including an end portion10in which a ferrule40is inserted and a metal sleeve16including an end portion12on which the optical device51is disposed, the metal sleeve16being insert-molded in the resin sleeve15to be fixed thereto. With such a constitution, occurrence of positional deviation between the sleeve1and an optical device unit50is prevented, and the optical fiber41and the optical device51can be optically connected surely. Furthermore, it is prevented that the sleeve portion extending cylindrically functions as an antenna for electromagnetic noises. Accordingly, the optical connection sleeve in which the optical fiber and an optical component as the optical device are optically connected with high accuracy, and influences of the electromagnetic noises are fully reduced, an optical module and an optical communication module using the optical connection sleeve are realized.
