ABSTRACT:
This optical clock phase-locked loop circuit includes an oscillator12, an optical coupler2, an optical cross-correlation detection device3that outputs light containing the correlating components of two lights from the coupled light of optical coupler2, an optical band pass filter4that extracts light of a wavelength that contains cross-correlating components, an optical receiver5, a phase comparator6that compares the phases of the output signal of the oscillator12and the cross-correlation signal from the optical receiver5, a voltage controlled oscillator7that changes the oscillation frequency and phase corresponding to the output of the phase comparator6, an optical pulse generator8that generates a optical clock pulse containing an nth harmonic component, an optical coupler10that divides optical clock, and an optical modulator11driven by low-frequency oscillator12that modulates optical clock from optical coupler10.
