ABSTRACT:
An ophthalmic apparatus for examining and evaluating a visual function of an eye of a patient, includes: a presentation unit which presents an examination target to the patient's eye; a storage unit which stores therein subjective information obtained from the patient as to whether or not the patient can visually recognize the presented examination target; a calculation unit which calculates an objective evaluation value for the patient's eye using a fuzzy theory expressed as a probability function, based upon the stored subjective information; and an output unit which outputs the calculated evaluation value.
