ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method of operating a storage component10, 30, 40. In order to enable a verification of the integrity of the data in the storage component, it is proposed that first a write operation for storing data in a data storage area11, 31, 41of the storage component10, 30, 40is performed. Then, a completion status field15, 35, 45in the storage component10, 30, 40is updated, in case the write operation has been completed successfully. The updated completion status field15, 35, 45indicates that the write operation has been completed successfully. The invention relates equally to a corresponding storage component and to a corresponding system.
