ABSTRACT:
Abrasion powder from the clutch retainer28ais prevented from getting mixed into the grease used for lubricating the roller clutch10, and the grease is prevented from becoming exposed to high temperatures, and so degrading too quickly is prevented in the grease. Specifically, a retaining piece33is formed at one end of the clutch retainer28ain the inner-diameter side portion thereof, and a retaining collar section34is formed around the inner peripheral surface of the other end of the clutch retainer28a. The inner ring21for the clutch is held from both sides in the axial direction between the fitting portion35at the tip end of the retaining piece33and the retaining collar section34. Consequently, displacement in the axial direction of the clutch retainer28ais limited, so that the axially opposite end surfaces of the clutch retainer28ais prevented from coming in sliding contact with the sections that rotate relative to the clutch retainer28a, specifically the inside surfaces of a pair of collar sections27a, 27bof the outer ring25for the clutch.
