ABSTRACT:
There are provided oligoarylene derivatives capable of emitting blue light at high luminous efficiency which are represented by the following general formulae (1) to (4):in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Ar1-Ch-Ar2  (1)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Ch1-L-Ch2  (2)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Ar3-(L1)a-Ch3-(L2)b-Ar4  (3)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Ar5-Ch4-(Ar7)n-L3-(Ar8)m-Ch5-Ar6  (4)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein Ch, Ch1and Ch2are respectively a group containing at least one substituted or unsubstituted condensed aromatic ring having 14 to 20 nuclear atoms; Ch3, Ch4and Ch5are respectively a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 14 to 20 nuclear atoms; Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4, Ar5and Ar6are respectively a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 5 to 30 nuclear atoms; Ar7and Ar8are respectively a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 5 to 30 nuclear atoms; L1, L2and L3are respectively a connecting group; and a, b, n and m are respectively an integer of 0 to 1, as well as organic electroluminescent devices using the same.
