ABSTRACT:
Olefin polymerization catalysts are prepared by depositing an organophosphoryl chromium product and a non-volatile aluminum-containing product obtained from the reaction of an aluminum alkoxide and an aluminum salt of a lower aliphatic monocarboxylic acid on an inorganic support material and heating the support material in a non-reducing atmosphere at a temperature above about 300.degree. C. up to the decomposition temperature of the support material.
