ABSTRACT:
A method for producing catalyst by impregnating a support with an aqueous solution of CuO, drying the impregnated support at about 90.degree. C. to about 150.degree. C. to provide a powdery product support impregnated with about 0.1 to about 5 weight percent CuO. A method for preparing aldehydes from olefins in the presence of an oxygen containing gas and a catalyst as prepared above.
