ABSTRACT:
A hydrophobic starch is utilized as an emulsifying agent in an oil-in-water emulsion wherein the oil is a volatile oil. The emulsion is used in the production of microcapsular coatings which impart opacity to substrates upon expulsion of the oil from the coating.
