ABSTRACT:
An oil-based ballpoint pen ink composition comprising a) a colorant, b) a solvent containing one or more solvents having the following chemical structural formula (1)where R1, R2and R3are each independently H or CH3, as the main solvent, and c) a resin which is soluble in the solvent, wherein the ink viscosity is 700–8000 meals mPa·s and preferably at least 800 mPa·s and less than 6000 mPa·s at 25° C. According to one mode, the main solvent is a mixed solvent comprising this solvent with propyleneglycol monomethyl ether.
