ABSTRACT:
Odorless benzoic acid is prepared by treating benzoic acid, after crystallization, with an inert gas at temperatures in the range of 50.degree.-100.degree. C. The process is best carried out using benzoic acid crystals or particles having a particle size of less than 1 mm in a moving or fluidized bed.
