ABSTRACT:
A unique 16S rRNA profile derived fromDehalococcoides ethenogeneshas been identified and isolated. The profile contains several nucleic acid fragments that are linked to dechlorinating activity. These sequences are set forth in SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:8, SEQ ID NO:30, and SEQ ID NO:34.
