ABSTRACT:
A method of fabricating an inkjet printhead comprises forming drive circuitry and a plurality of nozzles on a substrate using an integrated circuit fabrication technique. The drive circuitry includes a plurality of drive circuitry firing groups, each group comprising a plurality of drive transistors for operating the nozzles. The nozzles are formed into a like number of nozzle firing groups, each containing a plurality of nozzles. The nozzle firing groups are then associated with the drive circuitry firing groups to ensure good thermal stability of the printhead during operation.
