ABSTRACT:
9-Hydroxydibenzo[a,g]quinolizinium compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.8 and R.sub.13 are each hydrogen or lower alkyl, and X.sup.- is a pharmaceutically acceptable anion. Additional substituent may be present on ring A and D. Betaines and 9-acylates are also provided. They inhibit growth of transplanted sarcoma or leukemia strains into mice.
