Novel cosmetic compositions for skin care and retarding of skin aging effects (e.g., by hydrating and moisturizing the skin) containing an amount of a mixture of oenethera oil and spleen tissue extract sufficient to retard skin aging effects (e.g., by hydrating and moisturizing the skin) and a method of treating skin.
