ABSTRACT:
Esters of C.sub.10-25 aliphatic carboxylic acids (especially oleic acid) and C.sub.15-40 aliphatic alcohols (especially alcohol mixtures) are useful for protecting metal surfaces against corrosion, especially by acidic vapors. They may be applied in the form of a solution or dispersion in a substantially inert, normally liquid organic diluent such as Stoddard solvent.
