ABSTRACT:
A polymer having a weight average molecular weight ranging from between about 1,000 to about 10,000,000 which polymer contains at least 5 mole percent of a pendant functional group represented by: ##STR1## and mixtures thereof; wherein R' is chosen from the group consisting of H, and lower linear or branched alkyl groups containing from one to six carbon atoms; and X is an anionic gegenion, present in an electroneutralizing amount.
