ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to normally liquid lubricating oil additives which provide both anti-oxidant and friction-modifying properties when added to lubricating oil. In particular, this invention relates to C.sub.14 to C.sub.18 alkyl catechol lubricating oil additives which are normally liquid at typical storage temperatures.
