A nonwoven fabric10has a first layer1containing crimped fibers11. In the layer1, the crimped fibers gather in parts to form a large number of fiber clusters12that are distributed all over the layer1. The clusters12interconnect to each other to form a network structure in the layer1. The nonwoven fabric10further has another fiber layer as a second layer2disposed on a side of the first layer1. The two layers are partly joined at a large number of joints3. The second layer2protrudes outwardly between the joints3to form a large number of protrusions20.
