ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a nonaqueous secondary battery comprising, as a negative-electrode-active material, an oxide mainly comprising at least one of semimetals of the group IVB or VB of the periodic table, which is capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium, in which (1) a positive-electrode-active material is a cobalt oxide, having an average grain size (D) represented by the formula:
