ABSTRACT:
A load power supply is connected to the load device through a gated switch nd time-delay fuse. The maximum current pulse delivered by the power supply is limited by the "delayed blow" characteristics of the fuse inserted in the circuit. After a selected current-time duration is delivered to the load, the fuse "blows" (opens) and the circuit is effectively de-energized.
