A noise elimination apparatus has a subtracting section11for obtaining a difference value between input image data and reference image data; a calculation processing section12afor performing calculation processing of multiplying the difference value by a prescribed coefficient; an adaptive integerization processing section13afor obtaining an integerized difference value by adaptively performing rounding up processing or rounding down processing on the difference value having undergone the calculation processing; an adding section14for obtaining output image data from the integerized difference value and the reference image data; and a frame memory15for storing the output image data as the reference image data.
