ABSTRACT:
Pyrimidines substituted in the 5-position by fluorine, some of which are new, are prepared from pyrimidines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical or different and denote fluorine or trifluoromethyl,
by stepwise reaction with hydrogen chloride.
