ABSTRACT:
Network device drivers that interface with a communication transport are described. In one aspect, a networked computing system includes the network device driver and the communication transport. The network device driver converts abstract network device calls to network hardware device specific calls. The network hardware device specific calls are transported from the network device driver via the communication transport to a network hardware device.
