ABSTRACT:
A lubricating finish composition and synthetic filaments coated with the composition. The composition of the invention comprises: about 80 to about 99 weight percent lubricant; and about 1 to about 20 weight percent sodium or potassium alkali metal salt of a branched or unbranched aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having at least 8 carbon atoms. The finish composition is a liquid at a temperature below about 150.degree. C.
