ABSTRACT:
A naval war game utilizing the skill of two or more contestants in simulating naval warfare. The game includes a game board having a playing field thereon and including a checkerboard section forming the open sea and a perimeter section of additional squares forming coastal waters. Tabular blocks adjacent the coastal waters form seaports. The squares and blocks on the checkerboard define the game piece positions. Two sets of distinguishingly identifiable sets of game pieces are included. Each of the game pieces is of a size capable of occupying and fitting within a single square. Each of the game pieces represents a naval vessel and includes a particular naval characteristic in a specified quantity, wherein such quantity represents a particular capability of the respective game piece with relationship to the game.
