ABSTRACT:
Naphtholactam dyes of formula ##STR1## wherein the cyclic and acyclic radicals can carry non-ionogenic substituents, the ring D can additionally be fused to a benzene ring, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are hydrogen atoms or substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radicals which together are also able to form a hydrocarbon chain which is optionally interrupted by heteroatoms, dyestuffs, dye polyester fibre in fast yellow and red shade.
