An oil-in-water emulsion, the oil globules of which have a mean size of less than 150 nm, comprising an amphiphilic lipid phase containing at least one non-ionic amphiphilic lipid which is liquid at an ambient temperature of less than 45.degree. C. and at least one cationic amphiphilic lipid, and its uses in cosmetics or in dermopharmaceuticals.
