ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to 5,6-dihydro-4-oxo-4H-thieno[2,3-b]thiopyran-5-carboxamides of the Formula I: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, halogen or lower alkyl; R.sub.2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or aryl; and Ar is aryl or heterocyclic; their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and to processes for their preparation. The compounds of this invention exhibit antibacterial, antifungal and antiallergy activity.
