ABSTRACT:
A vegetation cutting head is mounted on a tractor by an articulated boom. A hydraulic cylinder attached to the boom rotates the cutting head about an axis transverse to the distal end of the boom. A second hydraulic cylinder rotates the cutting head about an axis parallel to the plane of operation of the cutting head. A third hydraulic cylinder rotates the cutting head about an axis orthogonal to both of the first two axes. The cutting head can be operated while the boom is at any horizontal angle from 0.degree. to 90.degree. of the direction of travel of the tractor.
