ABSTRACT:
A laser produces light having multiple wavelengths. The laser comprises a gain medium disposed within the laser resonance cavity, a dispersion element coupled to the gain medium and within the laser resonance cavity, and a wavelengths-elective element coupled to the dispersion element and defining an end of the resonance cavity. The wavelength-selective element has non-abutting reflective segments. At least one of the multiple wavelengths corresponds to a position of at least one segment from the non-abutting reflective segments.
