ABSTRACT:
A multilayer piezoelectric element includes first and second internal electrodes laminated alternately, and a piezoelectric layer disposed therebetween. The first internal electrodes are connected to each other, and the second internal electrodes are connected to each other, via through holes that penetrate the piezoelectric layer in the laminated direction. The first internal electrode is formed so that its periphery portion is exposed on the side face of the multilayer piezoelectric element. The second internal electrode is formed so that its periphery portion is positioned inside the side face.
