ABSTRACT:
The reaction products of glycidyl ethers, wherein the alkoxy portion contains from about 6 to about 20 carbon atoms, with unsubstituted alkylenediamines and polyamines of the type H.sub.2 N(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH).sub.x H are effective carburetor detergents and reduce deposits on various components of internal combustion engines. An example is the reaction product of the glycidyl ether whose alkoxy group is a mixture of 12-14 carbon atom chains with diethylenetriamine.
