A two wheel roller skate with at least one steerable wheel (4) mounted on a yoke (5) which is pivotally connected to a steering element (6) mounted on the frame (1) of the skate to pivot about a tilting axis. The yoke (5) is also pivotally connected to the frame (1) by a joint (14). The steering axis (11) of the wheel (4) is preferably perpendicular to the ground and the angle alpha between the tilting axis and the ground is less than 90.degree..
