ABSTRACT:
A power supply unit including batteries to energize a plurality of circuits hich have differing voltage requirements and fluctuating power demands. The power supply unit includes a battery monitoring circuit and a timer circuit. The timer circuit controls the intermittent interruption of current from the batteries to the utility circuits and the battery monitoring circuit tests the battery during the interruptions.
