ABSTRACT:
The invention has as its object multi-coat nonskid surfacings which comprs one or more priming coats and one or more nonskid coats. Each coat comprises a base and a hardener which are mixed before use. The bases contain in particular hydroxylated vinyl terpolymer resins and the hardeners contain a polyisocyanate which reacts with these resins to yield cross-linked polymers known as polyvinyl urethane. The figure represents comparative wear tests. Curves C1 to C3 represent the results measured on known surfacings. Curve C4 represents the results measured on a surfacing according to the invention.
One application is the protection of ship decks, particularly flight decks, or offshore oil prospecting platforms.
